The Accountants General (A&E) Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and Accountants General (Audit) Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are principal field offices of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) in their respective states. These esteemed departments play a critical role in ensuring financial accountability and transparency in the governance of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Established under the broad mandate of the CAG, their history is rooted in the constitutional provisions that empower the CAG to audit and account for the Union and State governments of India. The primary mandate of these offices is two-fold: the Accounts & Entitlement (A&E) wings are responsible for the compilation of state government accounts, authorization of pension and General Provident Fund (GPF) claims for state government employees. Pay Scale & Salary

Salaries are as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). For entry-level positions like Auditor and Accountant, the pay typically falls under Pay Matrix Level 5 or 6, with basic pay ranging from Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 35,400, plus Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and medical facilities, ensuring a comprehensive compensation package.
