About Attorney General of India

The Attorney General of India (AGI) is the highest law officer and chief legal advisor to the Government of India. A constitutional post established under Article 76 of the Constitution of India, the AGI plays a pivotal role in upholding the rule of law and providing expert legal counsel to the Union Government.
