Selection Process

Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination by SSC / Civil Services Examination by UPSC → Mains Examination (where applicable) → Interview (for Group A & B posts) → Document Verification → Medical Examination

Pay Scale & Salary

Salaries at the Department of Revenue adhere to the Central Government's pay matrix. Entry-level Group C posts typically fall under Level 4-6, while Group B (e.g., Inspector) are Level 7. Group A officers (e.g., IRS) begin at Level 10. Employees receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), medical facilities, and a secure pension under the National Pension System (NPS).
