About Ministry of Minority Affairs
The Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA) is a vital Central Government Ministry in India, established in 2006 with the mandate to formulate overall policy, planning, coordination, evaluation, and review of the regulatory and development programmes for the welfare and socio-economic empowerment of the notified minority communities. These communities include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis), and Jains. The Ministry plays a pivotal role in ensuring inclusive growth and upholding the constitutional safeguards for minorities across India.
