About National Remote Sensing Centre
The National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) , headquartered in Hyderabad, is a pivotal constituent unit of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), under the aegis of the Department of Space (DoS), Government of India. Established in 1974 (initially as NRSA, later merged with ISRO), NRSC serves as India's primary agency for the acquisition, processing, and dissemination of satellite remote sensing data. It plays an instrumental role in national development by providing comprehensive earth observation data and services across various sectors. NRSC's core mandate includes receiving, processing, and archiving data from both Indian and foreign remote sensing satellites. It is responsible for developing and delivering various geospatial products and services to users. Its applications span critical areas such as agriculture, water resources, forestry, oceanography, urban planning, geology, and disaster management. Pay Scale & Salary
Employees at NRSC receive competitive salaries as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. For Scientific/Technical posts, pay scales typically range from Level 10 (approx. ₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500) upwards, along with Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and medical benefits.
