Pay Scale & Salary

Salaries at NEERI follow the Central Government 7th Pay Commission matrix. Entry-level Scientists receive pay in Level 10 (approx. ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500). Technical Assistants generally fall under Level 4 (approx. ₹25,500 – ₹81,100), while Junior Secretariat Assistants are in Level 2 (approx. ₹19,900 – ₹63,200). In addition to basic pay, employees receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), comprehensive medical facilities, and benefit from the Contributory National Pension System (NPS).
