The State Bank of Mysore (SBM) held a significant position in India's banking sector for over a century. Established in 1913 as the Bank of Mysore Ltd. under the patronage of the then Maharaja of Mysore, it was later sponsored by the Imperial Bank of India. In 1960, it became an Associate Bank of the State Bank of India (SBI) and was rebranded as the State Bank of Mysore.
