The Uttar Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (UPSCACS) is a vital organization established under the guidelines of the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Government of India. Its primary mandate is to lead and coordinate the comprehensive response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic across Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state. Established with the vision of creating an HIV-free society, UPSCACS plays a crucial role in public health, focusing on prevention, care, support, and treatment for those affected by HIV/AIDS. UPSCACS implements various strategic programs and initiatives designed to curb the spread of HIV and provide holistic support. These include targeted interventions for high-risk groups, ensuring blood safety, managing sexually transmitted infections (STI/RTI), Prevention of Parent-to-Child Transmission (PPTCT) programs, and providing Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART).
