Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor Posts in ESI-PGIMSR and ESIC Medical College, Joka, initially for one year. Eligible candidates can apply before 01-12-2021 (04:00 A.M).

Professor Rs.177000 per month | 04 | For General Discipline:- Essential for Medical Candidates (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act; and (ii) a post-graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or (MS) Master of Surgery or DNB from an MCI/ NMC recognized Institutions or autonomous Deemed University qualification equivalent in the subject applied for. (iii) Three years of teaching experience as Associate Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college with a minimum of four research publications in indexed or national journals provided that these research publications are published or accepted for publication in the Journals by the National Associations or Societies of the respective specialties as the First or corresponding Author, and further provided that the requirement of four research publications for promotion to the post of Professor should be taken on cumulative basis with a minimum of two research publications must be published during the tenure of the Associate Professor or as per latest NMC norms vide its letter No. MCI-12(2)/2019-Med.Misc./189334 dated 12.02.2020. Emergency Medicine:- (i) MCI Recognized M.D. (General Medicine) M.S.(Gen. Surgery) M.D. (Resp. Medicine.) M.D.(Anesthesia) M.S. (Orthopedics) with 2 years training in Emergency Medicine. (ii) As Associate Professor in the subject concerned for three years in the recognized medical college. (iii) Minimum of four research publications in indexed/ national journals. Provided that these research publications are published/ accepted for publication in the journals by the National Associations/ Societies of the respective specialties as the First Author or corresponding Author. Further, provided that the requirement of 4 research publications for promotion to the post of Professor should be taken on a cumulative basis with a minimum of 2 research publications must be published during the tenure of the Associate Professor or as per latest NMC norms vide its letter No. MCI-12(2)/2019-Med.Misc./189334 dated 12.02.2020. |

Assistant Professor Rs.101000 per month | 16 | For General Discipline:- Essential for Medical Candidates (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. ( Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act); and (ii) A Post Graduate qualification e.g. MD (doctor of medicine)/ MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline (iii) For the candidates possessing doctor of Medicine(MD)/ Master of Surgery (MS) from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges: (a) Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident or Registrar or Demonstrator or Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post-graduate course or after obtaining a postgraduate degree in the subject. (b) One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college. (c) Provided that in the discipline where the post of Senior Resident is not prescribed in the applicable minimum standard requirement for the Medical College- one year experience as Tutor/ Demonstrator/ Resident/ registrar after obtaining Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline shall be required. (iv) Equivalence of qualification of DNB (broad specialties) with MD/ MS: (a) Those candidates who have undergone DNB training in an institution that now runs MCI recognized postgraduate degree courses in a given subject, their DNB qualifications shall be considered at par with MCI recognized qualifications that subject only. (b) One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted medical college. (c) Provided that in disciplines where the post of Senior Resident is not prescribed in the applicable Minimum Standard Requirements for the Medical College for 100 Admissions Annually Regulations one year experience as Tutor/ Demonstrator/ Resident/ Registrar after obtaining Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline shall be required. (v) Additional training of one year for equivalence of qualification of DNB (broad specialties) with MD/MS: (a) Those candidates who have undergone DNB training in broad specialties in hospital/institution other than mentioned in (ii) above, shall undergo one additional year of senior residency or equivalent training or research jab in MCI recognized hospital/institution, provided such qualifications are notified in the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulation 2000”. (b) One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted medical college. (c) Provided that in disciplines where the post of Senior Resident is not prescribed in the applicable Minimum Standard Requirements for the Medical College for 100 Admissions Annually Regulations one year experience as Tutor/Demonstrator/Resident/registrar after obtaining Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline shall be required. Emergency Medicine:- (i) MCI Recognized M.D. (General Medicine) M.S.(Gen. Surgery) M.D. (Resp. Medicine.) M.D.(Anesthesia) M.S. (Orthopedics) with 2 years training in Emergency Medicine. (ii) Requisite recognized postgraduate qualification in the subject. (iii) Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college as Resident/ Registrar/ Demonstrator/ Tutor or as per latest NMC norms vide its letter No. MCI-12(2)/2019-Med.Misc./189334 dated 12.02.2020. |
Age Limit:- Not exceeding 69 years
Application Fee:- General and OBC candidates have to pay Rs.225 through demand draft in favor of ESI Fund Account no. 1 drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Kolkata. SC/ ST/ Regular ESIC Candidates/ Female Candidates and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the payment of the fee.
