India Post has released the notification for the recruitment to the post of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Postman, and MTS in Bihar Postal Circle. Eligible candidates can apply before 31-12-2021.

| Postman Rs.21700 – 69100 | 05 | (i) 12th pass from a recognized board. (ii) Knowledge of the local language (Hindi). The candidates should have studied the local language (Hindi) at least up to the 10th standard. (iii) The candidates of higher qualifications will also be considered but they have to fulfill the above conditions. There are no bonus marks for higher education. (iv) The candidates will be required to furnish at least 60 days of the basic computer training certificate from a recognized Computer training institute before issuance of the appointment letter. Computer training certificates from central/ state government/ university/ board will also be accepted for this purpose. This requirement of a basic computer knowledge certificate is relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied computer as a subject in matriculation or Class XII or higher educational qualification and in such cases, a separate certificate will not be insisted upon. (v) Candidates should have a valid license of a two-wheeler or three-wheeler or light motor vehicle within a period of two years from the date of their appointment. Persons with disabilities are exempted from the possession of the license. (vi) The candidates who do not have valid driving licenses at the time of appointment shall not earn periodical increments in pay till the production of such license or for a period of five years from the date of whichever is earlier and after production of such license or expiry of such five years period, the pay shall be restored prospectively to the level pay would have reached as if periodical increment in pay was not withheld and no arrears shall be paid for the intervening period. |
| Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Rs.18000 – 56900 | 13 | (i) 10th pass from a recognized board. (ii) Knowledge of the local language (Hindi). The candidates should have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard. |
Age Limit:- Candidates applying for the posts of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Postman, and MTS can check the post-wise minimum and maximum age limits from the table given below:-

Application Fee:- The candidates have to pay Rs.100 through e-payment at any of the computerized post offices in India using the Challan form.

- The application form complete in all respect along with self-attested of requisite certificates may be sent to Assistant Director (Rectt), 5th Floor, o/ o the Chief Postmaster General, Bihar Circle, Patna-800001 through registered/ speed post on or before 31-12-2021.
- Superscribe the envelope with the name of the post.

| Second Preference | Candidates who have represented a state/ union territory in the senior or junior level national championship organized by the national sports federations recognized by the department of youth affairs and sports or national games organized by the Indian Olympic Association and have won medals or positions up to the third place. Between the candidates participating in senior and junior national championship/ games, the candidates who have participated and won the medals in the senior national championship gets preference |
| Third Preference | Candidates who have represented a University in an Inter-University competition conducted by the association of Indian Universities/ Inter-University Sports Board and have won medals or positions up to third place in finals. |
| Fourth Preference | Candidates who have represented a State Schools in the National Sports/ Games for schools conducted by the All Indian Schools Games federation and have won medals or positions up to third place. |
| Fifth Preference | Candidates who have been awarded National Award in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive. |
| Sixth Preference | Candidates who have represented a State/ Union Territory/ University State School teams at the level (II) to (IV) above but could not win a medal or position in the same order of preference. |
Place of Posting:- The selected candidates shall be posted anywhere in Bihar Postal Circle.

- Age relaxation will be given as per govt rules.
- Incomplete/ late applications will be rejected.
- Women, Transgender Women candidates, SC/ ST are exempted from the payment of fees.
